E.E.L. was started in the summer of 2002 as a project to enhance curriculum, tie together learning materials, and engage students in technology. It has been growing since then and continues to grow as more activities and subjects are added. EELScience.com appeared on the web on July, 2003, as a method of sharing this material with students and teachers.

E.E.L. contains information on eight scientific topics, meeting Virginia Standards of Learning and national benchmarks. There are currently 78 warmup activities, great for the beginning of class or for extra review. Have a suggestion or a worksheet that follows E.E.L.? Send it along and share it!

2005 was a year of success in spreading the word about E.E.L. Science! On April 8th, 2005, E.E.L. was featured in John Norton's MiddleWeb newsletter. Thanks John! Designation as a Macromedia Education Leader also helped spread the word about E.E.L. and provided a new world of opportunity and expansion in educational technology. 2005 was a year of professional growth and entirely new science standards of learning :) This year hopes to be one more of expansion within the site.

The owner, Garry Marshall, is now in his fourth year of teaching at Fairfield Middle School in Henrico County, Virginia, where he now serves as department chair and teaches 6th grade science. Mr. Marshall has also taught 7th and 8th grade, providing insight into all middle school science topics. He holds a B.A. in biology with a minor in philosophy from St. Andrews College and has prior experience as a paralegal, accountant, environmental educator, and as an owner of an independent consulting firm, Sunrise Consulting Firm. Current projects include VCU graduate work, Macromedia learning and training, GIS/GPS implementation in the classroom, curriculum development for Henrico County, and the growth of E.E.L. Science to incorporate revised science standards of learning.

Garry Marshall currently operates and owns several web sites under the business name of GWMarshall Web Consulting. E.E.L. is non-profit, but costs much in time and money to maintain. Please help keep E.E.L. free by referrals for web design or graphic needs or training in Macromedia software. If you like this site, please tell a friend!
